Feature: “Static Till I Die”

It has certainly been a while since I threw one of my recent automotive sets up on here but I felt as though this one had some merit behind it as it was featured on StanceIsEverything.com! Check out the full article there, Dave Thomas runs an awesome internet publication that provides tons of content for his viewers.

This shoot was a long time coming as Matt and I had been speaking for over 6 months about trying to plan to get together. One fateful day in June my schedule allowed me some time away from shooting Real Estate photography and scoot out to Ottawa to get together with him for this shoot. We didn’t have a ton of time but I got some material I was happy with overall. More to come in the future of this car, as with most of Matt’s projects they don’t generally end.

Aside: I just wanted people to know that just because I don’t have time to post up on this site as often as I used to doesn’t mean I haven’t been busy with photography. Between needing to pay the bills and advancing myself in my life I always need to prioritize what makes the most sense from a business aspect and over the last year or so it has been shooting as much real estate photography as possible. It’s fairly consistent work and keeps me being able to take on passion projects, and things I am more interested in such as Matt’s feature you see here. With that being said I have grown fond of my work outside of the automotive field shooting real estate, some of which can be seen here: www.propertyperspective.ca

Thanks again guys, expect more of this kind of material from me for the rest of the summer! I am booked to shoot Importfest in September which should be great as well.

Ciao

Feature: “A Birthday Gift, and a Pretty Lady”

So a good friend of mine approached me the other day asking him to help him out with a birthday gift for his father….well let’s just say I enjoyed shooting the birthday gift as much as he would receiving it. The gift was a few prints of this beautiful machine owned by my friends dad, framed for him. Wish I got more time with this beast but for now these will suffice. I’ve been keeping busy with lot’s of local work for design and photography a like and unfortunately have not gotten to post as much of my work as I would like to. I will try to finish off the season strong with enough sets to keep everyone entertained!

Feature: Fernando’s S2K: Keep It Simple Stupid

Sooooooo 2013 season has officially begun for me now with the first shoot knocked out. Up till now I have been shooting a lot f boring corporate work for Nissan and a few other dealerships locally to pay the bills but it was about time I got a set up here this year.

So this meeting between Fernando and I has been in the works since late last season when he had contacted me about photographing his car. It finally came to fruition this week after having three weeks of rain delays! Our plan was for him to leave Toronto around 4 o’clock AM to be able to get to Kingston with enough time to get some good sunrise shots as I have never actually been up early enough with a car to do so. The quality of light in the morning really is something spectacular and gives an entirely different feel than the photos I’ve taken at sunset. Anyways, long story short it was Tuesday night and we were finally a go for weather the next day.

I got the text at 5a.m. that Fernando was nearing the car wash I had directed him to when he got in town so I packed up and rolled out to meet him.

I honestly don’t think I have ever hit so many different spots in Kingston all in one day, and seeing as the nature of the shoot was only one day it really worked out great. First time I had been back to Wolfe Island to shoot with the windmills since years and years ago as some of you will remember the set I did with JDMR OG’s Rish and Rafl. The weather held up for us the entire day, and I couldn’t be happier with how the set turned out.

Fernando is A++ peoples and it was awesome to finally meet another avid poster from JDMR that I could never put a face to the name. There were many edits so check out my FlickR for the full set….I only post about 15 of my favorites below.

Comments and Criticism are welcome as per usual, thanks for your time looking guys hope you enjoy!

Feature: “My Civic, Fall Shoot + Updates!”

Well as we head deeper into the cold season here in the great white North there are a couple things to expect. Cold ass mornings, cold ass nights, and not a whole lot of activity in the automotive sector as everyone’s (including my own) babys are tucked away nice and warm under their car covers […]

Feature: Matt’s Flared, 2.5 Rs Scoobieroo

Matt and I went on a mission to grab a whole whack of nice shots of his scoobierooo 2.5rs. I have always like this car, and have only occasionally seen it in Kingston as he has just been posted here on Military duty. He hit me up on the old Facebook machine and we went […]

News: Teasers, Updates, and season wrap up!

Honestly it’s like I look down and whoooosh, September is gone. Go to the washroom and have a nap and BAM, we’re half way through October! The last time I checked in it was with content from the EP3 meet I hosted here in Kingston for some friends coming from Ottawa and their crew. Since […]

Feature: “EP3 Civic Meet, Kingston!”

This was in the planning for only about a month and turned out great! A friend of mine from Ottawa had contacted me letting me know that him and a group of other EP3 civics were planning to meet up in Kingston so I free’d up some time, and got some coverage! Now people have […]
